Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), also known as acrylic or organic glass, is a commonly used alternative to glass due to its high transparency, low cost, and ease of mechanical processing. It is often referred to as Perspex in the UK and Acrylite in the US. The monomer for PMMA is methyl methacrylate (MMA).
